Unart e.V.

This year we will have four exhibitions in our foyer again:

"Wellenlänge" (wavelength), a work exhibition by students of the Kunstakademie Münster

February 19th - March 2019

As part of a seminar of the Kunst Akademie Münster, art was considered in the social context of psychiatry. The students had the opportunity to get to know a field of practice and to deal with their experiences in contact with psychologically or mentally handicapped artists and their works. The final exhibition in the foyer of the Kunsthaus will give an answer to the question: "Is there a wavelength between art and psychiatry?"

faces from Kerala (South India) drawn by Baby Appachan

April / May 2019

The paintings were created as part of a project by a Münster painter in the Pratheeksha Bhavan, a nursing home in southern India, conducted by sisters and brothers of the Order of St. John of God. For three months, the artist accompanied the people living there, to draw and paint with them - in a protected space, free of therapeutic intent and open to their experiences and experimental skills.

work exhibition, OGS Ludgerusschule Hiltrup

July / August 2019

Colorful watercolors, elaborate line drawings, prints and spring paintings, all painted by 16 pupils of the Ludgerusschule in Münster-Hiltrup, will be shown on the large wall in Kunsthaus Kannen. The special feature of this project is the cooperation with the Outsider Art artists Hans-Günther Harst and Helmut Schrameier. The project is supported by the artist Anastasiya Nesterova, who inspires students and residents of the Alexianer to try out new techniques.

"Papier lernt fliegen" ("Paper learns to fly"), Unart e.V. an art project from Essen
