Kunsthaus Kannen is presenting italian Outsider Art: 70 renowned works of the Florentine studio “La Tinaia”, of the collection Susi Brunner in Zurich / Switzerland and 15 works of the Sicilian artist Maria Concetta Cassarà.

“La Tinaia” is the best known studio for outsider-artists in Italy. It stands out not only because of their qualitatively works but also because of the studio’s relaxed and native atmosphere, which supports the communication between patients and employees.

Today the works of “La Tinaia” can be found in the best public and private collections of Art Brut, e.g. the collection Susi Brunner, Zurich (CH). Susi Brunner is the most important swiss expert and exhibitor of Art Brut, Native Art and Farmer’s Art. So Kunsthaus Kannen is presenting ca. 70 works from her collection.

Beside the works of “La Tinaia”, Kunsthaus Kannen is also presenting the colorful paintings of Maria Concetta Cassarà. The artist is particularly inspired by TV-Shows in the evening and magazines. That’s why she offers exciting views of her hometown and insights into the local religious live.
