An Art Project For The Memorial Waldniel/Mönchengladbach

project week: 19th - 23th July 2017 at Kunsthaus Kannen, Münster

The team struber_gruber from Vienna are introducing their art project and model. Memory develops between people who live here and now. That is the approach of our artistic concept for the Waldniel memorial for the victims of NS-Euthanasia in Waldniel Hostert/ Mönchengladbach. The area of the cemetery is being defined by three spherical sculptures made from colourfully coated aluminium-cast. They are modeled after playdough balls that children like to make, but with a diameter of up to 180cm they are greatly enlarged. The sculptures will be made in a collective process with  students of the Europaschule Schwalmtal and artists from our house at the foundry Anft in Drensteinfurt.

The project will be realised in kooperation with the Landeschaftsverband Rheinland and Kunsthaus Kannen.
