Faces from Kerala (South India) drawn by Baby Appachan
April / May 2019
The paintings were created as part of a project by a Münster artist in the Pratheeksha Bhavan, a nursing home in southern India, run by sisters and brothers of the Order of St. John of God. For three months she accompanied the people living there to draw and paint with them - in a protected space, free of therapeutic intent and open to their experiences and experimental skills.
