"Adalbert Trillhaas` Naïve Art as Avant-garde -Art"
Published in 1986 the short monograph of Julian Roh prized
Adalbert Trillhaase as " a milestone in germanys Naive Art".
Otto Pankok who motivated Trillhaase to paint in his late 60s,
conected him with the art group "Junges Reihnland".
The avant-gardists from Düsseldorf found in Trillhaase
their act of adoption like Rousseau which is significant for
modern artistry. The lecture discusses the question why the late
calling selfeducator was so fascinating for Johanna Ey and
the artists from the"Junges Rheinland"

Director of the "Prinzhorn Sammlung" Heidelberg

"How and Where is Outsider Art Presented Today"
For the past few years Outsider Art is shown more often in
contemporary art museums, galleries and exhibitions. The
presentation varies whether Outsider Art is exposed explicit
or in a context of a bigger theme. Considered as required this
seems to be a progress for social inclusion on the base of artistry.
By concrete observation of these methods new problems are
arising: the concept of hanging can be discriminatory or it
forces Outsider Art in a concept that suppresses its nature.
The lecture discusses the specific problems of curating
Outisder Art by referencing concrete examples from the past few years.
