Anton Kohls

Anton Kohls was born  in Bochum, Germany in 1931. Since 1947 he lives at the institution of Alexianer Muenster GmbH. Kohls is inspired by pieces of modern art. He uses those objects as drafts and creates very personal drawings by leaving things or adding them or changing the qualities of the draft altogether. Especially his own room is a common motif in his works. The drawings of his room often bear mysterious aspects that are very intriguing to the observer. While the order stays the same throughout the different pictures, the wallpaper of the room constantly changes.
