Helmut Licznierski has been bound up with art since he first came to the Kannen Art-House. Licznierski is very creative: he paints, draws, prints and acts. For his prints he adopts old biblical motifs and creates new imaginary creatures. The figures, developed from stencils, blend harmoniously with their surroundings. Other prints show a straight and forceful working of the plate.

In his drawings, he often produces variants on the theme of the bicycle. The Kannen Art-House also has some watercolour outlines by Licznierski.
